M&W Foundation
Modernization conceptA portable, hand-held radiofrequency device for topical skin disease. This project adds a communication suite, real-time updates, an LCD, a mobile hotspot, and an external replaceable battery.
Communication suite
Status can go to a clinic system and a phone.
Real-time updates
Session state can be followed while a treatment is underway.
LCD
A screen on the device, so status does not need a separate terminal.
Mobile hotspot
The unit can share a connection when the room has no network.
Replaceable battery
An external pack that can be swapped without opening the housing.
These five items are the modernization. They are not features of the device the manufacturer describes for use today. Display size, battery life, radio standard, price, and a new clearance are not set here.
